Alesis HR-16 / HR-16B EPROM Upgrade - Roland TR-808 Classic Core Sounds + OS 2.0

The Roland TR-808 needs no introduction. Its kick drum, snare, open hi-hat, clap, and cowbell have appeared on more hit records than almost any other drum machine in history — from hip-hop and R&B to techno, house, and pop.

This 3-chip EPROM set loads your HR-16 or HR-16B with the essential TR-808 core sound library, giving you immediate access to those iconic tones. Kicks, snares, claps, open and closed hi-hats, cowbell, clave, maracas, and toms — the foundational 808 set. The HR-16's individual outputs and velocity sensitivity allow nuanced dynamic control that the original 808's accent-only system couldn't offer.

Please Note: These are digitally sampled sounds from a Roland TR-808. The HR-16 is an 8-bit digital machine and cannot replicate the analog circuitry of the original 808. The sampled version has its own gritty, punchy character.
