I am offering two units of Kush Audio Tweaker for sale. While these units are sometimes overlooked, they are truly remarkable processors. I am the original owner, having purchased both directly from Kush Audio. Both units are in excellent condition and will be shipped in their original boxes with manuals included. (*Two units will be separately dispatched.)

Designed by Gregory Scott, the Tweaker is what he calls a "Sidechain Shaping Compressor." It is incredibly versatile—by adjusting the sidechain and attack/release curves, it can emulate the characteristics of classics like the LA-2A, 1176, or API 2500. (Kush Audio’s website even provides a guide for these specific settings!)

The Tweaker is also the hardware origin of the famous Omega Model TWK saturation plugin. It can be used as a standalone analog saturation outboard even without engaging the compression. I’ve found it indispensable for tracking vocals and acoustic guitars, as well as adding grit and character to the mix bus.

Unlike most mono compressors, when these two units are linked, they share the entire sidechain and rectifier signals. This means both units act as a single detector, providing much higher precision than standard stereo linking. They can perform flawlessly as a stereo pair.

Both units have been kept in my smoke-free, humidity-controlled private studio, securely rack-mounted since purchase. As my studio is built with natural timber, you might notice a faint, pleasant scent of Western Red Cedar upon unboxing. :-D
