Here's a clone of the Wildwood Spec Friedman Small Box 50 built from a Headfirst PCB. It is in perfect working condition and looks new apart from 3 small blemishes in the tolex on the back as pictured.
This amp is a 50 watt monster in a lunchbox sized head.
The amp is housed in a Ceriatone lunchbox chassis and cabinet with Ceriatone and Hammond transformers.
Unlike the 2 channel Friedman Small Box 50, the Wildwood Spec version has three channels. Channel 1 is a plexi style channel with switchable bright caps. Channel 2 is a BE channel, and channel 3 is a solid state boosted BE channel. This one is just like the Wildwood version. Each channel has its own master level control and there is an overall system master on the back.
The amp also has a switchable gain boost that can be enabled globally on all channels. There is also switchable Jose style diode clipping (labeled SAT) that can be used to add additional saturation to all the channels.
There is a loss-less FX loop which can be bypassed by a rear panel switch.
No footswitch included.
The original Wildwood amp goes for $3200. This amp sound just the same and is a smaller and equally reliable amp at a fraction of the cost.
