2014 Gibson Limited Edition Lzzy Hale Explorer – Alpine White
Comes with the original Gibson Vintage Brown hard case – Only 300 units were produced worldwide. The protective films on the bridge and pickguard are still intact and have never been removed.
This model stands apart from the standard Explorer line, offering a feel and aesthetic that closely approaches the character of a Gibson Explorer Custom. The Alpine White finish combined with gold hardware creates an immediate “Custom-class” impression both visually and in hand.
Designed for Lzzy Hale, this model delivers not only visually but also tonally, offering an upper-tier sound profile. It has an open, balanced, and articulate tonal character; even under drive, note separation remains অত্য clear, with strong and controlled sustain.
Thanks to its set-neck construction, the resonance is highly lively. The guitar responds quickly and evenly, performing effortlessly in both rhythm and lead applications. Overall, it delivers a more refined, balanced, and high-end tonal experience.
The first noticeable aspect of this guitar is its frequency balance:
Lows are tight and controlled, mids are full and forward, and highs remain clear and bright without ever becoming harsh.
Under drive: note separation is अत्य distinct, chords remain tight and defined.
For lead playing: sustain is long and even, with notes flowing smoothly without unwanted compression.
Clean tones: open, three-dimensional, and dynamically responsive.
The influence of the set-neck construction is very apparent in this instrument. There is a strong vibration transfer between the body and neck:
• The guitar feels alive while playing
• Resonance is noticeable even acoustically
• Sustain comes not only from the pickups but from the wood itself
Visually, this model elevates the classic Explorer form into a more premium segment:
• 3-ply binding and block inlays (reminiscent of Custom aesthetics)
• Gold hardware (high visual contrast and strong stage presence)
• Alpine White finish (a prestigious color that develops character over time)
Cosmetically, it is also at a remarkable level:
With its block inlays, gold hardware, and overall craftsmanship, it delivers a premium impression on stage. In this sense, it separates itself from standard USA models and leans toward the Custom segment.
After 12 years, although unplayed, light nitro finish checking has begun to appear in places, adding beautiful character to the instrument. All parts are original, and the frets are in near-new condition due to virtually no play.
