The Gibson LG-1 has long been celebrated as one of the company's most approachable and inspiring small-bodied acoustics, and this vintage 1966–1967 model captures everything that has made the flagship acoustic a favorite for generations. Available now at Haggerty's Music, it represents an era when Gibson was producing guitars that found their way into living rooms, recording studios, coffee houses, and stages across America. More than half a century later, this LG-1 continues to tell that story through every note it produces.

Built with a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the LG-1 offers a warm, woody voice with a focused midrange and an intimate character that records beautifully and excels for fingerstyle, folk, blues, and singer-songwriter accompaniment. Its traditional ladder-braced construction gives it a dry, punchy response with quick attack and unmistakable vintage personality. Years of natural aging have only enhanced the instrument's resonance, allowing it to speak with the open, seasoned voice that players seek in a true vintage Gibson.

The comfortable medium "C" mahogany neck and short 24.75" scale length make the LG-1 exceptionally inviting to play. Its classic sunburst finish, tortoiseshell pickguard, pearl dot inlays, and vintage Gibson Open Book headstock embody the understated elegance of Gibson's mid-1960s craftsmanship. Details like the original-style three-on-a-plate tuners and plastic reverse belly bridge further preserve the authentic character of this period-correct instrument.

Included with the guitar is a vintage alligator chipboard case that completes the package with period-correct charm. Whether you're a collector searching for an authentic mid-'60s Gibson, a songwriter looking for an inspiring vintage companion, or a player who appreciates the unmistakable voice of an aged ladder-braced acoustic, this LG-1 delivers a lifetime of music already written, and many more songs still waiting to be played.
