1990s Fender MIJ ST-57-53 Stratocaster Sunburst

A great Stratocaster, pre-CIJ!
We've seen no shortage of ST-57 models, and this one appears to be particularly unique. Dating to 1994-1995, this example appears to be the ST57-53 model which is composed of a basswood body with maple neck. Under the hood, this example appears to retain the original ceramic pickups, with the volume pot having been replaced. This example has also had a saddle replaced. A look inside the neck pocket reveals the stamp 'order Y-165' indicating a custom order model. We suspect this might have to do with the fact that this example is finished in a three-tone as opposed to the standard two-tone sunburst. A very cool example and not often seen!
Cosmetic condition is good showing dings, scratches, and play wear throughout. The single ply pickguard shows signs of warping. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes a gig bag and tremolo arm.
