The ZCON-Big Red-DI XFMR Direct Inject is a very simple but useful impedance matching device. Direct Inject boxes are used for converting high-impedance instrument signals to low-impedance microphone signals.

The heart of the ZCON-Big Red-DI XFMR Direct Inject is a Made In The USA custom transformer that we rightfully call Big Red. During the time when our winder was having trouble sourcing laminations for our OG CA-11 DI transformer, he somehow had a fresh idea for a new design pop into his head. He told me it might be bad, it might be OK or it might rule. He sent me one to try and might I say, RULE it does! Simply put, the audio definition of phat is Big Red.

The ZCON-Big Red-DI XFMR Direct Inject has standard features such is an instrument thru jack and ground lift. We have a somewhat unique feature which is toggling between two different secondary transformer ratios. A lot of juicy tone can be found in these two settings.

Warranty:  Parts and labor are covered for one year for component level failure due to normal operational use.  

We build these for you as if we are building for ourselves... tight and clean soldering with Kester solder and a digital temperature controlled Weller, fully cleaned PCB, and burned-in and tested.
