The ROCKMAN has a sound that can only be produced by the ROCKMAN! It's a unique sound that can't be easily replicated with any other equipment!
The compressor allows you to adjust the input gain, and the smart gate (which gradually affects the output, preventing abrupt cuts when sustaining notes) eliminates noise. There are two types of distortion and two types of clean tones, which can be switched between using a footswitch. It's a versatile unit, from extreme high-gain to clear, blue-sky sounds. Clean 2, in particular, sounds like an acoustic-electric guitar, which is incredibly satisfying. Each channel's volume, bypass, and even the rhythm volume (which slightly reduces the output) can be controlled with a footswitch ? this preamp is unstoppable!! It also has the advantage of less noise compared to the XPR. The ROCKMAN's casing is made of a relatively low-strength plastic material, making it prone to cracking. This particular unit has two very slight cracks near the screws on the top panel, but it is in perfect working order.

*Although this is an overseas specification (120V 60HZ 3 WATTS), there are no particular problems using it in Japan (100V). The plug is a 3-pin type.
