ESP Strat Style Navigator Early 90's

Late ’80s / Early ’90s ESP Navigator Strat-Style Electric Guitar

Up for sale is a vintage ESP Navigator Strat-style electric guitar from the late 1980s to early 1990s—an era known for exceptional Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail. This guitar has clearly been played and enjoyed.

One of the most unique features is the glitter ESP Navigator logo embedded under the finish on the back of the guitar, giving it a subtle but eye-catching bit of character.

The guitar plays well with a comfortable neck and smooth action. At some point in its life, the pickups appear to have been swapped. Currently, the middle pickup is out of phase with the neck and bridge, which can produce some interesting tonal options depending on your playing style. There are also visible signs of prior solder work in the control cavity, and the bridge tone pot does not match the volume or neck tone pot. Check the pictures for more information

Cosmetically, the guitar shows honest wear consistent with its age, including scuffs and scratches on the body. These do not affect playability but add to its vintage character.

Another distinctive feature: there is no back plate for the tremolo cavity, and there are no holes drilled for one. I assume that it was ordered that way or perhaps a NAMM or show model originally. There is no serial to be found on the guitar. I am currently in contact with my rep from ESP to find out more information about this unique guitar. I will update as I learn more.

Overall, this is a cool, player-grade vintage ESP Navigator with unique quirks, solid playability, and plenty of mojo. Perfect for someone looking for a Strat-style guitar with character and history.
