The Tone Bender MKII is a boutique fuzz pedal that faithfully recreates one of the most iconic circuits of the 1960s: the Tone Bender MKII Professional, made famous by guitarists such as Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. Based on a three-transistor germanium circuit, it produces a thick, singing fuzz with rich sustain, sitting somewhere between the rawness of a Fuzz Face and the precision of an early distortion. The British Pedal Company reissue follows the vintage construction with a retro enclosure, wiring faithful to the original models, and simple Attack and Level controls. Highly dynamic, it reacts strongly to the guitar’s volume control and can move from a gritty crunch to a dense fuzz typical of 1960s–70s British rock.
