The Thorpy FX SuperScuzz is a Christmas 2025 limited edition fuzz pedal conceived as a personal holiday build and produced in an extremely small run. It is a modern interpretation of the rare Supafuzz fuzz originally released under the Marshall brand in the 1960s, reimagined with contemporary build standards while preserving an intentionally old and aggressive sonic character. The design emphasizes raw germanium fuzz response, delivering thick saturation and harmonic filth derived from a three-transistor germanium topology.

The SuperScuzz is built to sound vintage while presenting a bold, modern visual identity. It uses a reproduction of the classic Supafuzz cast enclosure finished in a hot pink powder coat. Internally, the pedal is constructed using traditional Vero board techniques with a decorative paisley layout. The circuit employs NOS germanium PNP transistors along with Panasonic and Vishay capacitors. The pedal is battery-powered only and must be disconnected when not in use to prevent battery drain.

This project is limited to a total of five units, with four made available publicly. Each unit is assembled by hand as part of a first-come, first-served build process.
