This is a discrete microphone preamp module from a Dukane medallion mixer. These are by far my favorite mixers to mod, beating out all of the shures and Altecs I’ve ever done (and that’s a lot of mixers…)
just add I/o connections and a power supply (15-22v bipolar will do).
I love these input transformers. Add a line amp to the back end for full output, but will do around 35 db as is, iirc. I never bothered with a line amp as these by themselves were usually more than enough power for everything other than a whisper singer or flute.
these really are creamy, thick sounding preamps.
