1990 Ovation 1868 Elite Super Shallow – USA Made – Acoustic/Electric with Ovation Hardshell Case

For sale is a 1990 Ovation 1868 Elite Super Shallow acoustic/electric guitar, made in the USA in New Hartford, Connecticut.

This model features Ovation's comfortable Super Shallow Lyrachord® bowl, making it an excellent choice for live performance. It sits comfortably against the body, is easy to play standing or seated, and is well known for minimizing feedback when amplified.

The guitar is in very good vintage condition for its age. It shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with careful use over the past 35+ years but is fully functional and plays well. There is finish checking clearly visible in the pictures. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.

Features include:

• Made in the USA (1990)
• Solid spruce top with Elite multi-soundhole design
• Super Shallow Lyrachord® bowl
• Ebony fingerboard and bridge
• Original Ovation electronics OP-24 preamp and 3 band EQ (fully functional)
• Comfortable action and excellent playability
• Includes an Ovation 8117K hardshell case that fits the guitar properly. I cannot confirm that it is the original case that was sold with the guitar.

The 1868 Elite is prized for its clear, articulate tone and exceptional plugged-in performance. If you're looking for a quality American-made Ovation that's equally at home on stage, in the studio, or around the house, this is an excellent example.
