Vintage Harmony Johnny Marvin Professional “Tenor” Concert Ukulele

This rare Harmony Johnny Marvin Professional “Tenor” Concert Ukulele is in good condition. The reason this “tenor” ukulele is referred to as a concert ukulele is that it has a 14 3/4" scale length and fits in a concert sized ukulele case.

The body is solid mahogany with ladder bracing, the neck is mahogany, the bridge is maple, the fretboard is rosewood and it was produced and sold during the late 1920s through the 1930s.

This instrument is in good condition, but since it is pushing 90 years old, it has the expected scuffs, scratches, boo-boos and other signs of use on a quality and well played instrument. There are two obvious repaired cracks on the front and at least one hairline on the back, but the ukulele is quite stable and playable as is.  It requires no further repairs and can be used immediately.

It comes with the original tuners and airplane bridge that make this instrument so desirable and collectible.

Please research this vintage collector’s item before purchasing and pay close attention to the photos showing the imperfections. You will see the cracks and bruises that the instrument has accumulated over the years, but it is solid, sounds great, and still has a lot of life left in it.
