Tris Imboden's, Chicago, 5.5x14" Collector's Series Stainless Steel Snare Drum 2001–2003

Tris Imboden’s professional career has spanned 6 decades and is going strong!  Between his first professional gig in 1970 with the now legendary HONK, and his current gig with The Tris Imboden Yacht Stars, Tris has performed with A-list music icons including Neil Diamond, Kenny Loggins, Firefall, Richard Marx, Steve Vai, Roger Daltrey, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Chicago, Anita Baker, Julio Iglesias, Stevie Wonder and many more. Highlights of his career include driving Kenny Loggins' "Footloose", and "I'm Alright” to the top of the charts plus a 28 year gig as a member of Chicago.

Tris amassed a massive collection of drum gear over his six decade career. He’s decided to keep just enough to cover his current gigs, and asked my help to try and find worthy homes for the remainder of his collection. 

This 5.5x14" DW stainless steel shell snare drum was part of Tris' collection of Los Angeles studio snares. The drum shows obvious signs of use and remains in excellent condition with no issues.

The DW Collector’s Series 5.5x14 stainless steel snare drum is a metal-shell drum design focused on clarity and projection. It delivers a bright, articulate sound with noticeable sustain, while the 5.5-inch, 1–1.2mm stainless steel shell, 10 DW turret lugs, triple-flanged steel hoops, early DW throw-off and DW/True-Tone style 20-strand wires.

Tris hand signed the batter head.

Comes with one of Tris' stage used signature sticks and a certificate of authentication signed by Tris Imboden!
