Zager ZAD-50 OM/N Acoustic Guitar Overview

The Zager ZAD-50 OM/N is an Orchestra Model (OM) acoustic guitar engineered for exceptional playability and comfort. With a body approximately 15% smaller than a standard dreadnought guitar, it is especially appealing to smaller players or anyone who finds traditional full-sized guitars unwieldy.

Key Features

• Solid Wood Construction: The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides. This combination delivers a balanced, punchy midrange and matures tonally as the instrument ages.
• "Easy-Play" Neck Design: The slim neck profile, along with custom string spacing and a lower action, is crafted to minimize finger fatigue and reduce string buzz.
• Premium Hardware: Outfitted with genuine Grover sealed tuners for reliable tuning stability and hand-carved bone nut and saddle to enhance vibration transfer and sustain.
• OM Body Shape: The body’s narrower “hourglass” waist allows the guitar to rest comfortably in your lap, and its thinner profile prevents the sound from overwhelming microphones during recording sessions.
• Hand-Finished Details: Includes hand-filed frets to eliminate “string bite,” hand-scalloped bracing for a fuller sound, and an ultra-thin high-gloss finish that enables the wood to resonate freely.

Benefits

• Physical Comfort: The compact body and tapered waist design make it easier to hold and play, reducing strain on the back, arms, and wrists.
• Reduced Learning Curve: The instrument’s low string pressure requirements make it an excellent choice for beginners, older individuals, or those with arthritis.
• Recording & Stage Versatility: The OM body accentuates clear midrange and treble frequencies, allowing the guitar to stand out in a mix without the muddiness sometimes present in larger-bodied guitars.
• Protection & Maintenance: The included Zager Hardshell Case—typically a molded ABS case with a digital humidity sensor—helps safeguard the solid wood body from cracking due to temperature or humidity fluctuations.
