Vintage early-1970s Gibson SG-200 in Walnut, made in the USA. This is one of Gibson’s more unusual SG-era models, produced only around 1971–1972, with its distinctive thicker un-beveled body, two Gibson embossed single-coil pickups, and individual slide on/off switches for each pickup.
This example has plenty of honest vintage wear throughout, including scratches, scuffs, dings, finish wear, and edge knocks consistent with age and use. It has a great dry, resonant feel and all the character you would want from a player-grade early-’70s Gibson. A rare and very cool model that stands out from the usual SG lineup.
Please study all photos carefully for condition and originality. Vintage item sold as pictured.
Condition statement
Good vintage/player-grade condition. Heavy cosmetic wear from age and use, including finish scratches, dings, chips, and checking. Hardware shows age/tarnish. Please review photos carefully.
