Features include a Sitka spruce top with traditional hand-scalloped X bracing, select mahogany back/sides, cream tuner buttons, ‘50s-spec tortoise pickguard, antique body binding, a gloss Ebony nitro lacquer finish and, as a modern touch, an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup for on-stage flexibility.

As Gibson's most popular dreadnought acoustic guitar since its introduction in 1942, the slope shoulder J-45 design delivers great warmth, excellent projection, and a dynamic response. There’s a bold, brassy growl to the lower register, balanced perfectly by bright, round trebles, resulting in an instrument well-suited to a wide range of applications, and the traditional construction techniques ensure this is a particularly vibrant and robust-sounding instrument.
