DOD Stereo Chorus 565. Very low serial number unit.

Unit was tested and works but not sure if it is working 100%

The Chorus from this pedal is very subtle sounding if you use only one amp, if you use two amps and both output jacks it sounds fuller but is still fairly subtle. Not totally sure if it is working like it was designed to. Never had one of these before so I can compare. Might need some work.

The DOD Performer Stereo Chorus 565 (or 565-B) is a rare 1980s analog modulation pedal known for its lush, warm bucket-brigade (BBD) tones and stereo output. It features Depth, Delay Time, and Speed controls, with the 565-B variant offering dual-speed controls, allowing for chorus and vibrato-like textures.

Key Features and Details:

• Production Era: 1980s (Performer Series).
• Sound: Rich, "dreamy" analog chorus and vibrato.
• Controls: Typically includes Depth, Delay Time, and Speed (Rate) knobs, with toggle switches for mode selection.
• Stereo Output: Designed to create a wide, immersive soundstage.
• Power Requirements: Original units often used 20V proprietary adapters or dual 9V batteries. Many used units have been modified for modern standard 9V DC power.
• Construction: Durable metal casing.

565-A vs. 565-B:
The 565-B is often recognized for its ability to toggle between two different speed settings ("A" and "A&B"), making it highly versatile for live use, while the 565-A operates as a standard, high-quality stereo chorus. The 565-B is frequently described as having a vibrato-like quality. Note: Due to their age, the original 20V power supply is rare, so checking for 9V power modifications is recommended when purchasing.
