The Roland TR-06 Drumatix Rhythm Performer is a modern version of the vintage TR-606 drum machine with a host of advanced new features added for today's musicians, beat creators, and DJs. It uses Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) modeling to recreate the kick, snare, toms, cymbal, and hi-hats from the original machine but adds additional editing capabilities—including controls over tuning, decay, pan, gain, and more. Built-in effects including a compressor, overdrive, and tempo delay offer futher sound-sculpting options. The 8-track (including accents) sequencer features 32 steps along with sophisticated programming features including sub-steps, step-loop, and per step probability; up to 128 patterns can be stored in memory. Patterns can be sequenced to compose complete songs using the Track Write mode. The TR-06 receives power via its USB Type-B port or can run on four AA batteries. The TR-06 reimagines the original limited TR-606 with new sound-crafting potential and onboard effects. The onboard compressor adds warmth and punch, while the tempo delay creates depth and space ranging from subtle repeats to controlled chaos.

Like the original, the step sequencer in the TR-06 is familiar and straightforward, so you can bang out beats quickly and easily. In addition, updated, advanced features have been added including adjustable sub-steps for ratcheted parts, step-loop for instant pattern slicing, and per-step probability for beats that never get boring.

Modular Friendly

Many modular and tabletop rigs are missing a good drum sequencer that's convenient and easy to use. The TR-06 has five trigger outs and a trigger in, so it's easy to interface with other gear, sparking new ideas and creative possibilities. Sequencing is fast and fluid, and you can mix and layer your external modules with the TR-06's internal sounds for massive rhythmic sequences.

The TR-06 is sturdy and well-constructed with a solid metal top and a color-matched DK-01 case with three tilt options.
