Vintage Astatic D-104 crystal microphone modified to operate as an active mic powered by a 9V battery. The original handle switch now turns the mic on when pressed, and it can also be set to remain on continuously if desired.
Features an internal output potentiometer under the base and a Neutrik TRS output jack for reliable connection to modern gear.
Works well as a lo-fi character mic for vocals, drum room, acoustic guitar textures, or other creative recording applications.
