This mic, priced for a collector, has been stored for a few years (indoor studio mic closet). I did some research on it and am tempted not to sell it. I just tested it against my vintage Neumann U87 and it really had a nice expensive sound to it.
Designed by David Royer (of Royer Labs). I reached out to Mojave Audio about the scratched-on Serial Number (PLR049) and discovered this particular mic (according to Dusty Wakeman, president of Mojave Audio) is "one of about a dozen hand built MA-200 prototypes built 2002 before we launched modern day Mojave Audio. The mic is basically the same internally (as the production units) but the power supply is different."
The case is not the original (if there even ever was one), but a repurposed RODE case. And the Mojave Audio logo is slightly faded.
