Purchased in 2004 to do sound design for film -- mostly on voices! The voice became HUGE and fat! Which was the goal for this monsterous character. Did use it on some Mastering jobs to bring some ADAT and cassette mixes to LIFE. This is an unusual box that really adds a depth and density in a way that no other processor can. Certainly no plugin. I had the Sony Oxford Inflator that was the same idea, but nowhere near the depth of this box.
By 2007, it sat unused in my professional commercial studio rack powered off. In 2011 I turned it on again and used it. Then, one last time in 2021. This unit -- and it tubes have VERY LOW Miles on them. In 2026 I powered it on and left it on and ran all kinds of signla through it. It still functions like new! No issues.
As you can see from my profile and history, I take care of my gear and am honest about its history and usage.
