Limited Edition 2010 Fender Japan ST-57 Stratocaster in Cherry Sunburst – Vintage '57 Vibes with Japanese Precision!
Strat Lovers, This One's a Gem! Dive into the golden age of rock with this circa 2010 Fender Japan ST-57, a faithful reissue of the legendary 1957 Stratocaster. Crafted during Fender Japan's acclaimed MIJ (Made in Japan) era, this limited edition stunner boasts a rare Cherry Sunburst finish—a vibrant, fiery burst that fades from deep cherry red at the edges to a warm amber center, evoking the spirit of '50s icons like Buddy Holly or early Clapton. Not your everyday Strat; this one's built for players who crave authentic vintage tone with modern reliability, all wrapped in a package that's as collectible as it is playable.
Body and Build: Classic Contour, Timeless Tone
The ST-57 features a lightweight basswood body (or alder in premium variants) contoured for comfort, delivering that signature Strat snap and resonance without weighing you down. The double-cutaway design ensures effortless access to the upper frets, while the glossy polyester finish protects the eye-popping Cherry Sunburst, highlighting the wood's subtle grain for a premium, aged look. Paired with a bolt-on maple neck sporting a vintage "C" or oval profile, it feels buttery smooth in your hands—perfect for bending strings or flying through scales. The maple fretboard shines with a tight 7.25" vintage radius, 21 vintage-style frets, and dot inlays that guide you through every lick with old-school precision. At a 25.5" scale length, it offers that familiar Fender twang, balancing bright highs with punchy mids for endless versatility.
Electronics: Sparkling Single-Coil Magic
Loaded with three MIJ single-coil pickups (ceramic in standard models or alnico for that extra vintage warmth in VSP editions), this Strat sings with crystal-clear cleans, gritty overdrive, and everything in between. The 5-way switch lets you explore those iconic quacky in-between positions, while master volume and dual tone controls give you fine-tuned command over your sound. Hardware is rock-solid: a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge with a diecast block for stable tuning and expressive whammy action, plus Kluson-style tuners on the classic headstock to keep you locked in during marathon sessions.
Condition: Lightly Loved, Ready to Rock
This beauty shows only light typical playwear from years of passionate playing— Frets are in excellent shape with plenty of life left, the neck is straight as an arrow with a responsive truss rod, and the electronics hum-free and fully functional. It's not pristine museum fodder; it's a player's instrument that's been broken in just right, enhancing its mojo and playability.
Why This Fender Japan ST-57?
This limited edition Cherry Sunburst turns heads on stage or in the studio, blending '57 soul with Japanese craftsmanship for tones that cut through mixes like a knife. Whether you're chasing surf rock shimmer, bluesy bends, or indie jangle, this Strat delivers the goods with effortless style. A true collector's piece for Fender aficionados, it's rare to find one in this finish and condition—don't miss your chance to own a slice of Strat history!

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:
- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.
- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.
Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.
We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.
