This is a 1976 D-35S.
Based on its appearance, it seems to have been over-lacquered. However, weather checking has already begun on the top, indicating the finish has been applied some time ago. With few scratches or dents, it appears to be an instrument that has been well cared for.
There is no history of wood repairs, pickup installations, or strap pin additions. The frets are also well preserved.
The neck is in good condition, with a standard string height setting at the 12th fret: 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string.
It produces a rich, substantial sound characteristic of a large body with a 12-fret joint, yet retains the D-35's signature slightly rounded, warm tone.
It comes with a genuine blue case in good condition.
