Mono Vinyl Display Stand. I built a batch of 4 stands for this listing, you will receive one of the 4 pictured stands (all similar apart from random grain pattern).

I typically design and build speaker cabinets for guitarists, but I’ve started to branch out into vinyl storage- starting with tabletop crates and now single record display stands. I thought folks might appreciate a stand that was interesting to look at in itself, rather than purely a utilitarian/invisible item. Sturdy and balanced with grippy rubber feet, lined with complimentary colored felt.

Built from solid fir, which I then burn and burnish multiple times, the result is an incredibly textured, almost sculptural finish as the soft wood recedes and the grain is exposed. The burning/heating process cracks the wood in places (superficially, doesn't affect structural integrity) that adds to the organic and unique feel of the piece. Sealed with a high gloss clear coat to bring out the interesting tones and dimensions of the scorched wood.

  • Material: Scorched fir (Shou Sugi ban)
  • Capacity: 1 (or two).
  • Felt: Blue
  • Finishing: Water Based Gloss Clear Coat
  • Local PDX pickup is fine, just message me first
