Up for sale is this vintage 1983 Kramer Duke Special bass. Aluminum neck Kramer instruments are always fun and their short-scale headless bass is truly a blast, especially in the "Special" packaging with Schaller hardware and the three way tone switch.

This instrument is all original and in nice condition for its age. It does show wear, including one decent sized chip in the finish on the corner (pictured), some normal small dings, scratches, and scuffs, and a small ding on the edge of the fretboard at the 14th fret (pictured). The original hardware is in very nice condition, but does show some light wear and pitting.

This one has just been gone over by our tech who cleaned it up, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, installed a fresh set of strings, and gave it a set up. It plays great with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. The electronics work as they should and the original pickup sounds great. The original frets show some wear but still retain most of their life.

The original hardshell case is included but is loose at one corner (currently taped together) and the case shows heavy wear. That being said, it is intact and sturdy with the exception of that one corner and a missing center latch. The two outside latches and hinges are all present and function as they should.
