Early and extremely rare Ibanez signature model for US guitar legend Joe Satriani. The only version of this guitar equipped with the flexible HSH pickup configuration.
Made by Fujigen, Japan, year of manufacture: 1992.
Glossy black basswood body (lime) in the typical ergonomic shape of the JS series.
One-piece maple neck (JS profile) with rosewood fretboard (9.8“ radius), pearl dot inlays, 22 6105 Dunlop ”Narrow Tall" frets, and Gotoh tuners.
In accordance with the wishes of the namesake, we did not have a typical Ibanez Wizard neck here. It was deliberately modeled after the necks of the old Fender Stratocaster models with a very vintage-like, comfortable playing feel.
Equipped with a DiMarzio PAF Pro humbucker at the neck, DiMarzio HS2 single coil in the middle, and a DiMarzio FRED humbucker in the bridge position.
Also on board is the proven Ibanez Lo Pro Edge locking tremolo.
Weight: 3.4 kg.
Comes in an Ibanez case as pictured.
This JS-1 is in exceptionally clean and well-maintained top condition with only minimal signs of use—see pictures. Even the frets show no significant signs of wear.
