Clean, great condition vintage made in Japan banjo with newly installed modern geared tuners. This banjo has been upgraded from a single coordinator rod to a dual rod system for improved adjustment and sustain. Newly installed 5-Star mylar head. The brass tailpiece, bone nut, maple/ebony bridge, and armrest makes this banjo play and sound great!

The Kasuga banjo features Mastertone-style construction complete with a 20-hole flathead tone ring and one-piece flange mated to a thicker, multi-ply maple rim. The tone ring, flange, and tension hoop are all made of aluminum, producing a good sound while being lighter and easier on the back. This banjo is essentially the same as the 1970 Epiphone Mastertone style Banjo also made in Japan.
