2010 Gibson John Hiatt J-45 Signature Model

The Gibson John Hiatt J-45 is a limited-edition (100 units) acoustic-electric guitar produced by the Gibson Custom Shop/Bozeman team between 2010–2011. It features a solid Sitka spruce top, Mahogany back/sides, a one-piece Mahogany modified V-neck, and a "Triple-Burst" finish. Key features include advanced scalloped X-bracing, a Fishman Ellipse Aura pickup system, and a signature engraved truss rod cover. The instrument was built to Hiatt's personal specifications, reflecting his long reliance on the J-45 model for songwriting and performing.

Key Details of the John Hiatt Model:

• Body: It features a round-shouldered dreadnought shape with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides. This combination, along with the thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, contributes to its rich, resonant tone.
• Bracing: A unique feature specified by Hiatt is the use of the 1930s Advanced Jumbo top bracing pattern, which provides enhanced projection and volume.
• Neck: The one-piece Mahogany neck has a comfortable, easy-to-play modified "V" profile.
• Fingerboard and Bridge: The fingerboard and the traditional belly-up bridge are both made from Madagascar rosewood. It has mother-of-pearl dot inlays and a bone nut with a Tusq saddle.
• Finish: The guitar is finished in a hand-sprayed nitrocellulose Custom Antiqued Tri-Burst lacquer on the top, with a tobacco brown finish on the back and sides. It also features a distinctive teardrop fire-stripe pickguard and double-ring rosette.
• Electronics: Equipped with a Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend pickup system, with soundhole-mounted volume and blend controls, allowing for natural-sounding amplification.

• Signature Details: A custom-engraved truss rod cover bears John Hiatt's signature, and each guitar included a custom label personally signed by John Hiatt. 

Includes the original Gibson Custom hardshell case with plush blue lining, and Gibson COA.
