The Yamaha YAS-62III Professional Alto Saxophone builds on the legacy of Yamaha's legendary "62" model. Considered the consummate professional alto sax, the 62 was created through an intensive development process incorporating input from classical and jazz saxophonists. Today, the YAS-62III owes its popularity to Yamaha's visionary designers and artisans who craft each instrument with exemplary passion and precision. The YAS-62III comes with Yamaha's renowned 4C mouthpiece and a durable case.

Yamaha designed the YAS-62III's neck with a slightly narrower bore taper for faster response, greater control, and a comfortable airflow. This focused tone and compact pitch facilitate intonation for most players.

The YAS-62III's gold lacquered brass body construction provides higher mass for more resonance, rigidity, and durability to Yamaha's signature rich tone with a crisp transition between notes. From piano to forte, the YAS-62III goes wherever you lead.

With an adjustable thumb rest, front F and high F# keys, and a redesigned low B-C# mechanism, the YAS-62III provides enhanced playability and adapts to any style. Jazz and classical saxophonists can customize their setup through mouthpieces and necks to achieve their signature sound.

Expertly crafted in Japan, the YAS-62III continues Yamaha's legacy of providing outstanding value and inspiring artistry. With elaborate engraving and a fluid design, the YAS-62III is as alluring to the eye as it is to the ear. As a longtime favorite of pros and teachers, the YAS-62III will grow with you through a lifetime of performance.
