F-4 Hybrid mandolin with the elevated fret board joining the body at the 15th fret. This is a 100% custom instrument that Steve Holst made to my specifications. I have had it almost 2 years and it is in essentially new condition.
ANY FINISH “IMPERFECTIONS” IN THE PHOTOS ARE REFLECTIONS.
This is everything that you could want from an oval-hole mandolin. Rich, deep, powerful, with crystal-clear note separation on every string. The sustain is incredible.
The neck shape is a comfortable C profile so anyone making frequent transitions from octave mandolin to guitar back to mandolin will be appreciative. Wide nut at 1 3/16”. Full contact bridge and X-braced for wonderful resonance.
The Gold EVO frets are in great shape, new strings...it needs nothing. Comes in a good Hiscox rectangular case.
Age and change in living circumstances forces sale, so NO TRADES.
