This Peerless Monarch is in Outstanding Condition. The only reason I did not list it as, in Mint condition is that there is a minute nick on the headstock, which can easily be repaired (Please see photo). I have played this Archtop sparingly at home, and the only reason I am selling it is that I would like a more blues-inspired guitar.
The Monarch is made of all solid woods and is undoubtedly the best value in the jazz world, delivering a great guitar with great chordal note separations, clarity, sustain, and feedback resistance. This is accomplished by using all solid woods – spruce top and maple back and sides, and installing a sound-post from the factory that dampens the top just enough to make this guitar feedback resistant. The fretboard is a dream starting at 1.69 at the nut and increasing gradually to 2 1/16 at the 12th fret.”
The Peerless MONARCH features a 17″ all-solid arched spruce top and a solid maple arched back and rosewood fretboard, bridge, pickguard, and tailpiece. This is the working man’s archtop with a great, solid wood sound, outstanding build quality, and a very affordable price. It has one floating mini humbucker pickup and delivers the clarity and tone of the best archtops.
