For your consideration is this beautiful 1969 Epiphone Newport Bass, an incredibly clean and well-preserved example of one of Epiphone’s most iconic late-’60s short-scale basses. This bass is 100% original and in very good condition, especially impressive for its age. It has clearly been well cared for over the decades and stands out as one of the nicest examples I’ve personally come across.

The neck is straight and stable, and the bass plays effortlessly up and down the board. The frets show no wear, making this a rare find for a nearly 60-year-old instrument. It sits beautifully in a mix and delivers that unmistakable late-’60s vibe that modern reissues simply can’t replicate.

I don’t say this lightly — this is the best example I’ve ever seen of a ’69 Newport. Clean, original, and dialed in.
