Beautiful 1919 Gibson A-2 Mandolin, sn 55943. Gorgeous, rich tone.
Inherited in 2023 from an Uncle who played it regularly until he died.
In January 2026, I had a professional musician evaluate it for quality and playability. He replaced the strings and the original non-adjustable bridge (the old one is included) and re-glued part of the white binding on the side of the neck that had come loose. Described as "it plays and sounds beautiful."
Normal wear for 100+ year-old instrument.
