I bought this a couple ears ago as I own a beautiful 68 Pink Paisley and didnt want to take her out the house on gigs. Two totally different sounding Pinks! LoL custom Shop did a great job on this one which I remember it was called a master heavy relic due to the aging process that they performed. The Custom shop paperwork says it’s a 51 precision Bass style and that it is a 55P bass. The checkering in certain areas is almost identical to mine. I tried to play this but I was so used to my 68 that it just wasn’t for me. She’s been asleep all this time and now I woke her up to sell her. This is the information I found online…

This is the Fender Master Paisley relic Precision Bass with the Clear pick guard. The older Custom versions came with the clear pick guard the newer ones have the White pick guard.

Fender Custom Shop began producing the Paisley Precision Bass as part of their Limited Edition series in the early 2000s. The iconic Pink Paisley finish, inspired by psychedelic designs from the late 1960s, has been featured on various models since then.

• Conclusion

The Paisley Precision Bass has become a celebrated design within the Fender Custom Shop lineup, reflecting both historical significance and contemporary appeal. She’s absolutely beautiful I’ve never even changed the strings on her . She looks well played but it’s brand new just made to old so that’s why I gave it an excellent rating. There was one on here two years ago someone told me and it sold for $7700 so my price of 5500 is very fair and warranted. She really is beautiful.
