I have a 2012 Ernie Ball Music Man Ball Family Reserve JP-12 7-string guitar here, with its original hard shell case and factory paperwork.

Conditionally, this one looks gorgeous, almost like a time capsule piece.

The body top shows a little bit of soft guitar pick strumming in that common spot below the two pickups. Just a faint bit of that, not enough to satin the gloss finish. Any similar superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal anywhere else on this guitar. I don't see any buildup or any accumulation of any soft pattern play wear. I did not find any singular marks on the body top.

Throughout this guitar, the gloss finish, the hardware, and the plastics look exceptionally clean and lustrous. This guitar was always kept in its case when not in use, and it really shows. The pictures do it justice.

The body sides and edges show one small mark on the upper body edge, a little surface indentation about a millimeter in size. I didn't find any others. There are no neck pocket cracks, and I didn't find any buildup of any sort of soft powder play wear. Just that one tiny mark.

The body back looks pretty much immaculate. I did not find any buckle rash or worming, nor any patterns of swirling. Even the back plates look clean. I don't see any scuffing or swirling on them, and the finish looks gorgeous.

The neck shaft contour and the headstock look exceptionally clean as well. I did not find any dings or chips. Any superficial signs of use will be minimal to nonexistent. The frets look great. There's no fret wear or any oxidation on the stainless steel frets. The original electronics are working as they should including the piezo, and the playability and setup are fantastic. It plays like butter.

So this one rates conservatively a 9.3/10 and grades as excellent. It's about as clean of a 14-year-old guitar as I ever came across. Truly a well-kept, cherished guitar, which such a finely crafted custom shop instrument deserves. It's a really fine score if you've been in the market for an ultra premium 7 string.

This is an upper echelon 7-string custom shop build. The finish looks solid in some pics it is actually a metallic color called Cherry sugar. This one comes from the golden era of the original Ball Family Reserve series. It has the features common among the JP models. It's just the creme of the crop of those models.

Note that this listing may come down at any time as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that into your purchase.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
