The Kenny Hill Signature 640 Spruce is a contemporary concert classical built for players who require projection, tonal depth, and refined responsiveness. Designed with modern double-top technology and executed with traditional attention to detail, this model has become a trusted instrument among performing artists and educators.
This example pairs advanced construction with professional-level amplification and setup work performed here at Marfione Guitars.
Double-Top Construction
The soundboard is built around an ultra-light Nomex core bonded between two exceptionally thin tonewood layers:
- Outer layer: Alpine spruce (clarity, focus, projection)
- Inner layer: Red cedar (warmth, tonal complexity)
- Bracing: Lattice design for fast response and sustain
The result is a top that speaks immediately, maintains articulation at higher dynamic levels, and produces impressive headroom.
Materials & Structural Details
- Scale Length: 640mm

- Sides laminated with cypress lining
- Neck: Spanish cedar with precision V-joint
