🔥 circa 1990 Burny RLC-70 Les Paul Custom – Upgraded EMG 81/85 Tone Monster with Locking Grovers – Vintage Japanese Fire! 🔥

Guitarists, stop scrolling. This is the one you’ve been dreaming about: a circa-1990 Burny RLC-70 Les Paul Custom that perfectly blends timeless Japanese craftsmanship with modern high-gain aggression.

Built during the golden era of Fernandes/Burny in Japan, these RLC-70s are legendary for nailing the 1957 “Black Beauty” vibe with premium all-mahogany tonewoods (solid mahogany body, neck, and top), a bound ebony fretboard with classy pearl block inlays, multi-ply cream binding, and that unmistakable thick, resonant LP sustain that just won’t quit. Comfortable slim-to-medium neck carve, and rock-solid construction that still feels great after 35+ years.

But here’s where it gets Metalicious:

Upgraded EMG 81 (bridge) / 85 (neck) active pickups – the gold standard for crushing tone. The 81 delivers razor-sharp attack, thunderous palm mutes, and harmonically rich leads that cut like a chainsaw through any mix. The 85 in the neck gives you smooth, singing sustain with just enough warmth to stay musical. Plug into a high-gain amp and prepare to melt faces – these pickups turn this vintage body into a modern metal/rock weapon without losing that classic Les Paul growl.

Locking Grover tuners – swapped in for bulletproof tuning stability. Dive-bomb, aggressive bends, or marathon gigs? This thing stays in tune like it’s on rails. Smooth, fast string changes, and that premium click you love.

Condition: Very Good + Super Player-Friendly

This guitar has been loved and played – exactly how a real instrument should be. Expect honest regular playwear: light scratches, finish chips and dings that give it serious road-worn character and mojo. No cracks, no breaks, no major repairs. Neck is dead-straight, frets have plenty of meat left and play clean, and it just received a full professional setup (low, fast action, perfect intonation, fresh strings). It feels broken-in, inspiring, and ready to gig or record the second you pull it out of the case. Zero setup hassles – just pure plug-and-play tone.

Whether you’re chasing modern metal crunch, classic rock crunch, or that “I can do everything” versatility, this Burny delivers in spades. Incredible resonance, long sustain, killer balance, and those EMGs that make it feel like a Custom that went to the gym and got juiced up.

This is a rare chance to own a piece of Japanese guitar royalty that punches way above its weight – far better than all modern Epiphones and every bit as good as a well-worn Gibson, but with the upgrades you actually want.

Don’t sleep on this one – guitars this good with these exact upgrades and honest vintage vibe disappear fast.

Your new favorite axe is waiting. Grab it before the next guy does. 🤘

Neck & Setup - (unless otherwise noted)

- Neck is perfectly straight with no truss-rod issues.

- Intonation is spot-on.

- Professionally set up with low action and new American-made strings.

- All frets are dressed, leveled, crowned (if needed), and all frets on all guitars are polished to shine like new with no divots.

Return Policy, Restocking Fees & No Tire-Kicking Policy

We follow Reverb’s 7-day return policy. However:

- You must notify us in writing within 3 days of delivery (per tracking) of your intent to return.

- Original shipping and return shipping costs are not refunded unless the guitar is damaged in transit or is significantly not as described.

A 15% restocking fee applies to all returns for any reason other than damage in transit or significantly not as described.

We record demo videos of every guitar before shipping to document exact condition and performance. Additional photos, measurements, or in-hand descriptions are available upon request prior to purchase.

Minor adjustments and tweaks to a set up (for example to correct a slight buzz or truss-rod tweak) are normal after shipping due to carrier mishandling the package, climate & atmospheric changes, especially when moving from South Florida to colder or less humid environments. These slight issues do not constitute “significantly not as described.” Guitars must be returned in the exact same condition as received/advertised or additional repair/restocking fees will apply.

We are a small business, not a big-chain retailer. We invest significant time and effort into every guitar. This is a NO TIRE-KICKING shop. There is no post purchase haggling or partial refunds. If minor cosmetic marks, tiny imperfections, or the possibility of a post-shipping setup tweak makes you uncomfortable, please do not buy. Plenty of large retailers offer free trials and can absorb shipping costs—we do not.

Payment, Shipping & International Duties

- All items can be shipped internationally. Buyer is fully responsible for all import duties, taxes, and customs fees.

- We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Affirm, and other major payment methods.

- Most U.S. shipments are sent via UPS or FedEx with full insurance, tracking, and signature confirmation. All packages are professionally packed for maximum protection.
