1998 Fender American Standard Stratocaster Great Player Iconic Look and Feel (239)
For your consideration is this 1998 Fender American Standard Stratocaster finished in classic Black. A true workhorse from the late ’90s era, this Strat delivers everything players love about American Standards — reliable build quality, smooth playability, and versatile tones.
Overall, the guitar is in very good used condition for its age. It shows honest play wear consistent with nearly three decades of use, including small dings and light cosmetic marks. Nothing excessive or unusual — just the kind of character you’d expect from a well-loved instrument. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the condition. Says "Izzy" in the finish. Would be easy to buff out.
As commonly seen on many Fender guitars from this period, there is a seam separation along the rear skunk stripe. This is purely cosmetic and does not impact the neck’s stability, structural integrity, or playability in any way. The neck remains solid, comfortable, and performs exactly as it should.
Tonally, the original factory pickups sound fantastic. They produce a warm, vintage-inspired voice with plenty of clarity and articulation, while still offering enough bite and punch for higher-gain applications. Whether you're after glassy cleans, bluesy grit, or aggressive rock tones, this Strat covers a wide sonic range with ease.
Playability is excellent. The guitar features low, comfortable action and shows no fret wear, making it an outstanding player right out of the case.
If you’re looking for a dependable American-made Stratocaster with classic looks, great tone, and proven performance, this one will not disappoint. A superb everyday player with vintage vibe and modern reliability.
Comes with the original case. (239)

Condition, Shipping, & Setup Details:
I specialize in selling pre-owned guitars, which typically show signs of regular use. My commitment to quality is unwavering, and I ensure that any guitar I offer for sale is free from problems, unless explicitly mentioned. With a history of selling guitars dating back to the 1980s, I pride myself on selecting only the finest instruments.
It's important to understand that our shipping fees encompass more than just the cost of the box. I guarantee professional packaging using UPS-approved materials to safeguard your purchase. This typically includes new, heavy-duty boxes rated at 275lbs, 3-inch wide brown fiberglass reinforced tape, ensuring the guitar is well-protected. Additionally, every guitar shipped is fully insured for its sale price.
The guitars are set up according to my personal preferences (Medium Height), and I strictly avoid guitars with neck issues. However, guitar setup is highly subjective, and it is advisable to have it adjusted by a trusted local technician who understands your specific playstyle and preferences.
