One of Gibson’s most iconic acoustics, the Hummingbird Standard has been a favorite of songwriters, strummers, and stage performers since its debut in 1960. With its square-shouldered dreadnought shape, bold aesthetics, and deep, warm voice, the Hummingbird quickly earned a reputation for its versatility and presence both on stage and in the studio. This left-handed model brings the same storied craftsmanship and full-bodied tone to southpaws looking for a truly inspiring instrument.
This model features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, delivering rich lows and a balanced midrange — perfect for everything from Americana ballads to percussive pop rhythms. The rounded mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable, familiar feel, while the mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays, engraved pickguard, and vintage-style binding elevate its classic visual appeal. Equipped with LR Baggs VTC electronics, it offers an organic plugged-in tone with simple onboard control over volume and tone. Whether you're crafting your next album or leading a room in a sing-along, the Hummingbird Standard is an acoustic that rises to the occasion. Available now at Haggerty’s Music.
