Sontronics' founder and designer, Trevor Coley, introduces our SIGMA phantom-powered ribbon microphone. Inspired by vintage mics of the 1920s and ’30s, SIGMA is a ribbon microphone for the modern age with extremely low self-noise and requiring very little gain or EQ, and it sounds fantastic on solo stringed or woodwind instruments, guitar amps and vocals, but can also be used in pairs for overhead and stereo miking.
