This c. late 1940s-early 1950s Kay jumbo has been transformed through a complete rebuild and X brace conversion using Stay Gold Guitars' method of X bracing. Now it sounds and plays phenomenally! Rebuild work included: removing the back of the guitar and replacing existing ladder bracing on top of the guitar with Stay Gold's X bracing design, replacing back bracing, replacing old bridge plate with a new maple bridge plate, making a new rosewood pin bridge, neck reset, fingerboard replaned, old frets removed and replaced with a complete new fret job, binding repair, old tuners replaced with new Grover 18:1 open gear tuners, new bone nut, new bone fully compensated saddle, expert setup job.
