1999 Fender Jaguar JG-66 MIJ Reissue Electric Guitar – Sunburst

A beautifully crafted Japanese reissue from Fender’s celebrated late-’90s production, this 1999 Jaguar JG-66 captures the look, feel, and tone of a mid-’60s original with impressive accuracy. Built in Japan and known for consistent quality control, the JG-66 shares many vintage-correct specifications with American Vintage models — including the traditional 7.25" fingerboard radius and classic Jaguar dual-circuit electronics.

This 24" short-scale offset delivers the unmistakable Jaguar playing experience: slightly reduced string tension, fast attack, and a lively, responsive feel. The slim, rounded neck profile (.83" at the 1st fret to .94" at the 12th) is comfortable and quick without feeling overly thin. The offset body design balances naturally whether seated or standing, making it ideal for long rehearsals or performances.

Sonically, the original Jaguar single-coils provide articulate lows, glassy highs, and that signature percussive snap. The dual-circuit switching system allows you to move seamlessly between warm, preset rhythm tones and bright, cutting lead sounds — one of the defining traits that makes the Jaguar so versatile across surf, indie, alternative, and experimental styles.

The guitar has been professionally set up with smooth, low action and precise intonation. It plays cleanly across the fretboard with no functional issues. Frets are in excellent shape and have plenty of life remaining.

Condition

Previously owned and well cared for, showing light cosmetic wear consistent with age. Minor surface scratches and small blemishes/indentations are present, but there are no structural concerns. All wear is purely cosmetic and does not affect tone or playability.
