This guitar is in great playing condition and sounds really good. I added a reproduction Rhythm Chief 1100 pickup, which is a floating pickup attached from the neck. It has a wheel style volume and tone adjustment for the pickup under the pick guard. This is a solid, carved top and sides guitar made when the company was still in New York. I tried to show in the pictures where there is some binding missing which is very common for archtops from this era. I took it to an excellent luthier and asked about repairing the binding. He advised that is was cosmetic and the guitar is structurally sound. It was most likely originally sunburst, but the finish has been stripped at some point and reapplied by someone who was not a professional luthier. I have had this set up and a replacement pickguard made for it as it was missing the pickguard when I purchased it. Has a lot of mojo. I am including a hard shell case that I purchased for it that is actually an acoustic bass guitar case, but was the only thing available at the time I could get ahold of that would fit the lower bout. I have owned this guitar for many years and played many gigs with it. Please let me know if you have any questions.
