Vintage 1962 Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary Hollowbody Electric Guitar Husk Project w/ Hardshell Case!

Up for sale is this vintage 1962 Gretsch 6125 Single Anniversary hollowbody electric guitar husk project. This instrument will require parts and work to be playable, so please be sure to read the entire description and see all of the photos. It is offered "AS IS".

This listing includes the body and neck, original truss rod cover, the original pickup surround, and non-original nut. The body is in fair condition but the finish has been sanded through in a few places on the side and the back has been painted over with a bright red for reasons completely unknown. The original finish looks to be underneath the red, but we are unsure of what is left underneath. The neck is in good condition, is straight, and the truss rod works as it should. The original frets show fairly heavy wear. The original headstock overlay is missing a few pieces (pictured) and the heel cap is deteriorating (pictured). The original label inside is long gone and it was dated from the original pot codes.

A slightly newer but vintage late 1960's Gretsch case is included. The case is for a larger body guitar and fits the instrument very loosely. It will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.
