A collaboration between 1981 Inventions' owner Matt Hoopes and Jon Ashley of Bondi Effects, the DRV is a RAT-inspired distortion pedal featuring one distortion circuit and one preamp boost circuit packed into a sleek steel enclosure. Sounding more like a vintage pedal than a unique modification of a classic, the DRV is warm and responsive, capable of a variety of textures—especially in its lower gain section.
