Vintage 1963 Fender Precision Bass
Up for sale is a true vintage 1963 Fender Precision Bass with tons of real-world mojo and the kind of broken-in feel you can’t fake.
This bass has clearly been played for decades exactly as you see it -- it’s stripped with a well-worn anodized pickguard, and it has that classic early-’60s P-Bass vibe in every way.
Condition / Originality Notes
- Original pickups
- One pot has been replaced (the replacement pot I saw is dated 1990)
- Everything else appears consistent with an authentic 1963 Precision Bass
- Includes a NOS decal in the case in case that's desirable for the next owner
The Sound
This is the real deal -- warm, punchy, and woody with that unmistakable early-’60s Fender Precision midrange. I love the tone on this one.
A very cool, honest vintage Precision with serious character. I’ve been selling vintage gear for 20+ years. This is the only bass I own. If you want 100% of the sound, 110% of the feel, at an exceptional value -- this is your dream instrument.
