Killer PRE-CBS tone woods!
This killer neck is fully original - fully original finish with no areas of ovespray or re-finish. The finish back of the neck has been mostly played off and it feels like your favorite pair of Levi's. It's ready for the off-set project of your dreams. Weather you're starting a scratch build or have an old badly beat neck with a nice original body, this is a fantastic candidate for your restoration project.
This neck has it's original string tree, original frets, original decal, original nut and a STUNNING Brazilian RW board. 1963 is the first year for the veneer or "curved" fingerboards, these early curved boards are always nice and thick, as is the case with this one.
1963 is our favorite year for all things Fender. Just before the explosion of the Beatles and just after the 1950's saw the genesis of the modern electric guitar, Fender hit a "sweet spot" where production and quality control were perfectly dialed in with refinements made to the 50's versions of these guitars. Finishes and woods from 1963 are just consistently amazing and 63 Fender guitars, to our ears, always seem tonally superior to others!!
