This is a rare NAMM 2007 show unit, one of only ten produced, and individually hand-painted by original ZVEX artist Jason Myrold.
It’s marked #4/10 on the backplate, signed and dated by Myrold (11/06), and also signed by Zachary Vex (12/20/06), placing it firmly in the early ZVEX era that collectors tend to look for.
The finish is a distinctive Kanji-themed design (“Samurai Sound” / “Amplify–Distort–Machine”), part of a small run of globally themed NAMM pieces. Unlike standard hand-painted Fuzz Factories, these were produced specifically for the show in very limited numbers and weren’t part of regular production.
Condition & use:
Kept in a smoke-free home studio and never gigged. The artwork is clean and well-preserved, with only minimal signs of age. Fully functional and sounds exactly as it should — from classic gated fuzz to the unstable oscillation the Fuzz Factory is known for.
Why this one stands apart:
While standard Fuzz Factories are easy to find, early Myrold-painted NAMM units like this are far less common, especially from such a small numbered run. For the right buyer, it sits somewhere between a great-sounding pedal and a collectible piece from a specific moment in ZVEX’s history.
